My Unkymood Punkymood (Unkymoods)

Chillin' and grinnin'

It's a glorious 55 degrees. I can say that now, this winter when it might get up to 55 here in my office if we have several sunny days in a row and there's lots of snow bouncing even more sunbeams my way I will sing a different tune, but the first frosty-ish mornings of early autumn are a glory and I will be happy. No matter HOW frigid it might get later this winter.

In fact I haven't even had the central air on since July, it's been that nice these past few weeks. Mick has been able to ride whenever the urge strikes instead his usual summer tactic of getting up at dawn to get a ride in before it gets so hot his tires melt and his head might explode like a popcorn kernel. He hasn't even bothered going to the stuffy gym he's getting so much quality time on his bicycle. This makes everybody happy. Mick gets his ya-yas off doing 40 mile loops around the county and stays blissed for a long time afterward. I'm glad because my guy is feeling good and Wolf is happy (sort of, see below) because his parental units are smiley and mellow.

Smiley and mellow are the new theme words here at Casa Sage. After the last big blow-out Mick acknowledged his anger was tearing us to bits and has been working on changing his attitude. 10 days in and he's making real progress. Also helping is how some long stymied situations have finally broken loose and forward motion is the order of the day. A positive domino effect. For many moons things had been stuck. Couldn't do this until that was resolved and that wasn't going anywhere because the other thing was jammed up waiting for that guy to do his thing and he wasn't doing it because the other guy was stalling and…well you see how it went. But now everything from finances to legal work to our trash hauling situation to the laundry problems to getting the pets neutered to Wolf's IEP being overhauled to the fridge being stuffed to the gunnels with good food…the bindings are off and we have flow.

Things are even going forward pictorially. No camera yet but I got this snap from Wolf's teacher in the mail the other day and think it's too good to resist.

The background story: It was Wolf's turn to choose the Friday treat and his request was met exactly. Nothing honks the Wolfmeister off more than being caught out with nothing to bitch about! Being unhappy is as natural breathing to this kid. So please note the puss on my boy because he got his favorite flavor of ice cream topped with the asked for green sprinkles.

Only Wolf could look this miserable eating ice cream. *snort*
