I am still a total 'Duh' head. Stupid. Foggy. Due to the mental vagueness and the rumbly basso voice, when I speak I sound like I've lost about 80 IQ points. Which, of course, means I'd still be a 'smart' person in most red states. Oh, be quiet. You know who I'm talking about. Not you poor unfortunates who are normal people trapped in red states due to circumstance beyond your control. So, let's see. To get Rove off the front burner Bush is going to nominate some turd who already has a robe, but will have to dye it from white to black if he makes it through the confirmation hearings. Meanwhile Rove will slink back to his subterranean lair beneath the White House furnace to take a video conference call from Satan and Osama and the three of them will laugh their asses off while Cheney does a kootch dance in a 'grass' skirt made from Valerie Plame's shredded CIA dossiers. I cannot tell you how much I loathe the current administration. How bad is it that Alberto Gonzalez, a guy who said the Bushies were above the Geneva Convention and torture was just fine and dandy, is considered too liberal to be an effective jurist? But what can any of us expect from a draft dodger and deserter except that he will shrug off high treason by one of his closest advisors? There is no honor at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The whole concept is foreign to these guys. Karl Rove's crime isn't some ideological nit picking, this is treason and Bush is going to shrug and ignore it. If called on it he will smirk and talk about Democratic obstructionism. Okay, he'll say the Dems are being stoopid poopy heads, 'obstructionism' is far too difficult a word for the Chimp in Chief to pronounce. The gist is the same though. Rove is going to get a walk on this. I guarantee it. Sorry if that sounds defeatist. LA is backing away from a fight? Yeah. People, there is no fight to win. The Bushmen are without conscience and morals. They don't care how bad they are. They simply do not care. They feel no allegience to the citizens of the United States. They have no respect for law. They have no soul. They have no feelings. They have no class. They have no loyalty except to their wallets. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and no administration in the history of our country has wrested more power or has been this corrupt. There is no fighting this kind of evil. The only thing to do is hunker down and wait for the crash. The American government will eventually self-destruct and in the subsequent anarchy we will be left to survive as best we can. Maybe it's not such a vain thing I'm learning to grow food and make preserves. Provided my little clan lives through the nuclear holocaust, my silly veggie patch might be my family's saving grace. Too sick and disgusted to be sad, ~LA
