You know, I forgot I was an heiress. The annual check from my grandmother’s estate showed up today. Guess who’s going to JournalCon? I haven’t prepared anything. I haven’t checked train schedules. I don’t even know if there’s room at the inn. I don’t care. I’m going anyhow. I am not going to cut up anyone’s meat. I am not going to cater to anyone else’s mood, schedule, or bowel functions. I am not going to tie anyone’s sneakers. I’m not going to get up at dawn and fry eggies. I’m not going to do laundry. I’m not going to empty the dishwasher. I am not going to drive Alex to work and pick him up at midnight just so I can use my own truck to run more stinkin’ errands none of which benefit me in any way. I am not going to clean up after myself or clean up after anyone else either. The timing couldn’t have been better. I need to get away. I need to laugh and talk too much and stay up late and drink booze and be a goon for a weekend. Forget about yellow or orange, the color of next weekend’s terror is Sage. Watch out DC. Here I come! WHAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOO! ~LA
