2:00am. Home again. 5 hours at the ER. One CAT scan, several gallons of blood, and I finally got what I needed in the first place. A horse shot of steroids, another of something that’s making me loopy (in a good way), a fistful of Vicodin freebies, and 2 prescriptions. One for prednisone and the other for something I can’t spell, but was the recommended drug on 3 different websites to speed up the recovery time for the Bell’s palsy. Why my own doctor couldn’t do this is a mystery. One which will remain unsolved until the end of time. Dr Jerkwad is so fired. I will worry about money tomorrow. I will deal with all of it tomorrow. Tonight I will just be grateful for good meds and possibly good sleep. God, crying again. This time with stunned relief that the injection site hurts more than my head. Good night, ~LA
